Line of sight is the key of WIFI connection, outdoor ability means maximum line of sight, which ensure possible longest range. You need nothing else, just plug in, setup through WIFI , then leave it alone, you are ready to go. This combo repeater has two main parts. Long range WIFI adapter(outdoor antenna, coax cable and high power WIFI adapter) gets signal from remote, high power router share the signal locally. Both parts work together, make the combo a revolutionary stand alone, wireless in and wireless out WIFI repeater system.

No OS requirement, no driver needed. The combo is very easy to setup. Use the 10' coax cable connect the antenna to the RP SMA antenna port of the 2000mW WIFI adapter, point the antenna to the direction of the network. If possible, mount the antenna somewhere with clear line of sight to the networks you are going to connect, such as on the roof or a pole(20' high for optimum result). On the router side, connect the USB cable(supplied) from the router to the 2000mW WIFI adapter.

Plug in the power adapter for the router. Please refer to the first photo above. Using a computer, tablet or smartphone to setup the router, connect to the remote network , at the same time adjust the antenna direction to get strongest signal. Now you can enjoy the long range WIFI Internet.

When you are using the 2000mW WIFI adapter for short range, you may unscrew the coax cable, screw the small antenna on. You don't need it when you are using the 8dBi outdoor antenna.

While using indoor, the outdoor antenna with 10 feet coax cable has similar range as the stock 5dBi rubber antenna. To get optimum range, you should mount the 8dBi antenna outdoor, with much clear line of sight, the difference is huge.

This outdoor 8dBi antenna is OMNI directional, that means it covers 360 degrees. The connector has to be pointed to the ground or the sky, you can't lie it flat on top of the RV. When mount the antenna, choose a place with clear line of sight to the surrounding area, no obstacles on the way.

We recommend try the combo at close range first, make sure it works there, then try at remote location. You may also test the long range WIFI adapter at a Windows computer first, make sure you can get Internet on the computer, then plug the adapter into the router. The router has to be setup first.

Line of sight and direction are the two key issues of using this antenna. Try it on a pole at least 20 feet high outdoor, or by the second floor window with the glass up, you will see the difference. The antenna has to be at upright position, with the white plastic side facing the signal, connector pointing to the ground. If you need a USB extension cable, make sure use a USB "active" extension cable (also known as a USB repeater cable).

Those passive cable won't work on long length. Please note only one 16' repeater cable can be used for this repeater combo. Range test result is based on same unit on each end, in clear line of sight. Because every application is different, we can' guarantee the result. For long range link(>1Km, or 0.6 mile), we recommend you install external antenna.

Q: Do I need a wireless card in the computer to use this repeater system? However, you can connect to the router LAN port using Ethernet cable, in this case a WIFI adapter is not needed. Q: I have three computers and XBox in my house, how can I use this repeater system for all of them?

A: As long as each computer has its own WIFI adapter, it can use the signal from the router. Q: "Can I use this system for my MAC computer". A: There is no OS restriction for the system, any computer can use it.

You may also use the 2000mW adapter directly via USB to your MAC computer(OS version restriction may apply). A: Sure, this repeater system can be used separately.
